A user is an individual who can make and receives calls. We allocate users by the amount of licences you have purchased. For example, if you have purchased 5 licences, this will give you 5 users.
Each user has a collection of Endpoints. The user can use a Desk phone, Computer Softphone and a Mobile app.
You can also set your user a unique extension number. However, there are some limitations on what extensions you will be unable to use. These are listed on What extensions are not available on Wave guide.

Logging in.
First, you will need to login to your Control Panel.
If you are unsure how to log in, please follow How to Login to your Wave Control Panel guide.
How to Create a User
When you log in, select ‘Users’ on the ‘Quick Links’ section in the control panel.
This will take you to the section for ‘Manage Users’. You will be able to see any other users you may have previously created. You will see their name, followed by the extension number they can be reached on.
To add a new user, select “Add User” button.
Enter the users name and their email address. This email address will be used for logging in and out of the control panel, logging in to the Wave Softphone and this will be the email address they will receive voicemail notifications.
You will be unable to use an email address that is already in use, so this must be unique.
Then you will need to enter the user extension number. This also must be unique, and you will not be able to use an extension that is already in use or an extension that has been reserved.
Next, you will need to enter a password and confirm the password.
Finally, you will need to assign a role to the user.
A user can have one or both of the two available roles.
- Account Admin – This role allows the user to log in to the Company portal and administer your phone system.
- Wave User – This role allows the user to make and receive calls through hardware or through the Wave app.
Once you have filled in the details, select 
to finish creating your user. You will see a green success banner and your new user will appear in the user section.
