How to set up a divert on Wave

If you want to divert all incoming calls, you can set this up in Call Diverts section on your user. Please note, if you are diverting calls to an external source, you will be charged the standard ppm (pence per minute) rate to that destination. For more information on how much the divert will cost, please contact our support team.

Firstly, login to your Wave control panel and click on the Users quick link.

In the Manage Users section of your control panel, click the configure (cog) icon to the right-hand side of the extension that you wish to setup the call divert for and select Edit.

This will bring up all the settings for the user. Next, you will need to select ‘Call Diverts’.

Where it states “Do you want to divert your calls?” set this to ‘Yes‘.

The Divert Time field is used to control after how long, in seconds, the call is diverted. Please note, If the divert time is blank or 0, the divert is disabled. For an immediate divert, set the divert time to 1

You have two options Out of Wave, to an external number or Stay in Wave, to another user.

  

  • Out of Wave, to an external number: This can be to any external number you wish. If you want to divert to an international number, you will need to put ‘00’ and enter the rest of the number.
  • Stay in Wave, to another user: A drop down box will appear and list all other users on your account to divert the calls to.

Finally, once you have entered the details for the divert, click  To complete your setup.
