This article will explain, how a Wave Licence works.
To begin
Licences are a subject to a 24-month contract with a minimum renewal term of 12 months. The licence allows you to use multiple devices on one user which also includes a telephone number. Each licence also includes a UK minute bundle.
There are 3 types of licence you can choose from. Wave 100, which includes 1 licence with 100 minutes. Wave 1000, which includes 1 licence with 1000 minutes and Wave 3000 which includes 1 licence with 3000 minutes. The minutes bundle is a blend of landline and mobile that are pooled across the entire account.
All PBX features are available for each licence type, they are not limited. For example, if you want access to use Call Queues, Hunt Groups, Call Recording etc. These are not limited, and all of the features are included regardless of the Wave user.
You can also select a device only licence, which can be used for conference phones for your office. There are some restrictions for device only licences. For example, you can’t have more device only licences then you have users on your wave account.
All Licences have the same contract end-date, including any added after the initial sign-up. For example, if you set up 10 Wave licences on 01/07/2020, the contract end date will be 01/07/2022, per the 24-month contract. If you add 5 licences on 01/02/2021, the contract end date will be 01/07/2022 in line with your initial licences.
What does a licence look like?
Every user licence gets their own telephone number and with the Wave ‘Follow Me’ capability, the phone can route to multiple devices.
The user can decide to make and receive calls from their office desk phone, from the Wave mobile app, or from the Wave Computer Softphone.
You will also get a voicemail box with a custom greeting, which you can access from any of your registered Wave devices. When you receive a voicemail, you will also receive an email with a wav file attached, so you can also listen to this from your computer.
